Perfect location near subway and Chinatown. Beautiful western-style hotel. Clean and spacious rooms.

I like that I can open the windows and let the cool air in during winter, because I dont like the heater. The staff is very accommodating and the hotel is very near the train station. The rooms are also very simple yet clean and the bathroom is always upgraded. i had to check out from monterey and i stayed for one night at the portopia hotel, because monterey was full on a saturday, and it was not the same. the other hotel was not as good. so i returned the next day to monterey.

We were impressed by the beautiful and well-designed courtyard and lobby of this hotel. The room we stayed in was spacious and equipped with everything we needed. Despite being close to the hustle and bustle of the city, this hotel was surprisingly quiet. We loved the hotel's location as it was conveniently close to both the train station and subway, making it easy for us to commute around the city. The staff were also extremely friendly and willing to assist with any requests we had.

It was all superb.

I chose Hotel Monterey for its convenient location near the Ikuta Shrine, which I really wanted to visit. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's dry cleaning and laundry services. They were incredibly efficient and helped me keep my clothes fresh throughout my stay. I also appreciated that the hotel's restaurant was open for both lunch and dinner, offering delicious meals whenever I needed them.

I absolutely loved my stay at this place. The location was fantastic, surrounded by hundreds of restaurants and cafes all within a few minutes walk. I never had a problem finding a delicious meal. Not only that, but it was also conveniently located near the Sannomiya bus terminal and just a short distance from a creepy fake gothic church that is popular for weddings. The staff here were top-notch, providing excellent service and always willing to help. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with all the amenities I needed including ironing facilities and a flat-screen TV. The hotel also had great leisure facilities including a sauna and a public bath. my experience here was fantastic and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone.

Honestly, I can't think of anything negative to say about this hotel. It was a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Great breakfast buffet with a variety of options, and ample seating. The hotel location was very convenient to transportation hubs and shopping areas. The daily turn down service was a nice touch.

Despite being a smoke-free hotel, the air quality in hallways and some rooms had a distinct cigarette smell. The size of the rooms was smaller than expected.

The hotel had a great location near a bustling area full of restaurants and entertainment, making it easy to find something to do during the holiday season. the room size was perfect for one person and had everything needed, even a rollaway bed for an unexpected guest. the breakfast selection was also impressive, with options for both Western and Japanese cuisine.

The air conditioner was a bit challenging to use, and the TV was outdated. the entrance to the hotel wasn't very welcoming and could be hard to find at first.
